There is a remarkable story recorded for us in Genesis 38 about a woman named "Thamar" {Septuagint} also known as "Tamar" {Masoretic}. As the story goes, Judah took a Canaanite wife, although her name is never mentioned the Bible states that she was the daughter of Sava {LXX}. Jacob had a son named Er to this unnamed Canaanite woman. This is where Thamar comes into the story.
Thamar's Story
Now, this is fascinating, Thamar was a "Gentile", a Canaanite. As you are well aware, Israel was not suppose to take wives from this group of people. Yet, Judah did. So, picture yourself, "little flock" being Thamar. She is given as a bride to Er {son of Judah}, but Yehovah killed him because he was evil. Then she is given as bride to his younger brother, Aunan {LXX} or Onan{Masoretic}. So when he is having sex with her, he pulled out and his "seed" went upon the ground. Then, as the story goes, God stuck him dead for this sinful act. Judah had one more son by this unnamed woman named Selom {LXX} or Shelah {Masoretic} but he is too young to marry, so he tells Thamar to put on widow clothes and stay in his {Judah's} house until Selom is mature enough to marry.
Judah's Superstition
Now you can imagine Judah's superstition, his 2 sons Er andAunan both killed. They are both 1/2 Canaanite just like their younger brother Selom. So when Selom becomes mature enough to marry, Judah does not give Thamar as bride to Selom.
How This Story Fits' The Little Flock
Picture Er as Judaism and Aunan as Christianity. Both of them Antichrist organizations. Then we have the Little Flock, Keepers of God's Commandments and the Ministry of Yeshua. An obscure, insignificant, and somewhat Gentile group among mankind. Their struggle is Thamars struggle. She wanted to be a part of God's organization but was forbidden by Judah, her "father-in-law". So she devises a plan.
Thamar's Plan
Thamars plan was genius. She disguised herself as a harlot when she found out Judah was going to shear his sheep after his unnamed wife and 2 sons died. She found out where he was going and took a veil of a harlot and disguised herself. Judah went out of his way to see the damsel. He did not recognize her because of the veil and he asked Thamar if he could come into her. She then asked what Judah would give her for her services. He replied that he would give her a kid of the goats when he got back home. She then requested to hold his ring, bracelet and staff for collateral. Judah agreed and he went in and had sex with her and she conceived.
The Outcome
After the above incident Thamar took of the clothes of a harlot and put her widow clothes back on and hid the bracelet, the ring and the staff. Three months later her pregnancy is showing, she is pregnant with twins! Then it was reported to Judah that she was pregnant and he then said to have her come out of the house and be burned. On her way to be burnt to death, she sent the ring, the staff and the bracelet to Judah and said; the man who's these things belong too is the father of the child within me. Judah then halted the punishment of being burnt to death and proclaimed that she was more righteous than he.
Ancestor of The Messiah
Now, as history records it, Thamar become the ancestor of King David and better yet, Yeshua the Messiah. Her ability to discern situations and do bold things made her a child of God. She was never a harlot but a righteous individual that we can learn a lot from.
Our Accusers
Our accusers call us the harlot because we expose Judaism, Islam and Christianity for their blatant apostasy and antichrist status. These are like those that accused Thamar of harlotry but they were liars. They do not know us because they are not of us. They stole the Gospel to line their pockets and become rich and to attain power, they in fact are the real harlots.
8Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there
many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19They went out from us, but they were
not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went
out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20But ye have an unction from
the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth,
but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is
the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23Whosoever denieth the Son, the
same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also]. 1 John 2:8-23
