Every morning at 9:27AM another post is published. If you are not subscribed, be sure to! Jesus is coming and we want to help the Elect to be prepared for this day and the time of trouble that the LORD Jesus warned us of. Every post we make is founded on Biblical Scripture and you are welcome to challenge everything we post. We are not masters of the Faith but are slaves of it. We could get some things wrong, we are humble enough to admit that. However, the prophecies are clear. We are at the end of the Last Day!

Most people have never considered that something as simple as tassels—threads hanging from your clothes—are actually a commandment from God to His people. But that’s exactly what the Bible teaches.

📖 The Command

In Numbers 15:37–40 (KJV) we read:

“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.”

This is not a suggestion. It is a commandment given to the children of Israel to be kept throughout their generations—that includes us today if we are part of the covenant.

🧵 What Are Tassels (Tzitzit)?

  • Hebrew word: צִיצִת (Tzitzit)

  • Meaning: Fringes or tassels attached to the four corners of one’s garments

  • Blue cord (tekhelet): A symbol of heaven, reminding us of God's authority

Tassels served as a visual and physical reminder of the commandments. In a world full of distraction and rebellion, they were meant to redirect the heart and the eyes back to obedience.

✝️ Did Jesus Wear Them?

Yes! The Gospels mention a woman being healed by touching the “hem” of Jesus’ garment.

“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment.”Matthew 9:20

The Greek word here is kraspedon, which corresponds to the Hebrew tzitzit. This shows that Yeshua (Jesus) was obedient to the Torah, including the command to wear tassels.

🕊️ Why Should We Still Wear Tassels?

  • Because God said to (Numbers 15:38)

  • To remember and obey His commandments

  • To set us apart as holy to God

  • To follow the example of Christ, who wore them

Some may argue, “But that was just for the Jews.” Yet the same scriptures say this command is for all generations, and if we are grafted into the same olive tree (Romans 11), then we are to walk in obedience just the same.

Will It Make You Feel Funny?

Perhaps, if you are not use to following God's commands. However, all those who love the God of Heaven follow all of His #commands. Don't just try it out, live it and know what they mean!

🌿 Final Thought

Wearing tassels is not about legalism. It’s about faithfulness. It's a visible declaration that we belong to the Most High and that His commandments matter to us—even in what we wear. Yes, it is a command from God that you do it!
