God made women did He not? Veracity and creativity, intelligence and insightfulness. Oh at times they can be full of what my grandfather use to say, "Piss and vinegar"! Have you ever wondered why since Eve was the first to sin, why did there not need to be a perfect female sacrifice? Again the Bible says sin entered through one man, Adam, but didn't Eve sin as well?
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12
Wo-man
Hereby we have an explanation in the creation story. The woman was taken from the man and not the other way around. Even until this day, the sex of a child is determined by the father. So think of it, both men and women come from man. Interesting, no?
Roles
That being said, they are endowed with different roles. We all know what they are, but even the look is much different from the head to the toes. The biological framework and yes even the ability to grow very long #hair was given to the woman.
Hair
On average, women can typically grow their hair longer than men due to differences in the hair growth cycle and hormone levels. While hair growth rates are similar for both genders, men's hair cycles tend to be shorter, leading to a natural limit on the length they can grow their hair.
Head Covering for Women
Across Mediterranean, European, Indian, Middle Eastern, and African societies, Christian women customarily wore head coverings in public and during church services—in line with the instruction of 1 Corinthians 11—until at least the 19th century, and the practice still survives in some regions today. Over the centuries this tradition became so ingrained that, in the Middle Ages, an unveiled woman risked being branded a “prostitute or adulteress.” By contrast, in the earlier Ante-Nicene period, pagan Greek women routinely went about—and even prayed—bareheaded, while Christian women consistently maintained the veil.
The Head Covering Was Not What You Think
You ever read that scripture where Paul is speaking of the head covering for women and think what is that about? Let's read it.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 1 Corinthians 11:1-6
Unlike many deceivers out there in the world, the head covering for women had NOTHING to do with the patriarchy, misogyny or men's egotistical desires. To the contrary; it had everything to do with the Angels of God and spirituality! Why? Because if a woman is ready to disrespect mans authority who she does see, how much more so will she disrespect God who she has not seen? That question is answered in verse 13-15.
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. 1 Corinthians 11:13-15
Jesus Had Long Hair?
No doubt you are going to say, "Jesus had long hair!". Well, my friend, NOT COMPARED TO A WOMAN! Actually no one is suppose to have their hair cut short, man or woman. This is indeed according to todays pagan practice of cutting the hair short. However, what is long for a man is not long for a woman when it comes to hair. Any woman can tell you that, this is why Paul states, "Doth not even nature itself teach you...?".
What About Bald Guys?
Who cares about bald guys, right? God does! Bald is beautiful if it is natural. Historical accounts describe the Apostle Paul as having a bald head. The Acts of Paul and Thecla, an early Christian text, depicts him as "small in size, bald-headed, bow-legged, stocky with eyebrows meeting, rather long-nosed".
God's Command about Hair
Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. Leviticus 19:27
Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard Leviticus 19:27 NIV
That is the command there black and white. Any questions? Of course you do, but they will never change this #command of God!
Hair Style
When it comes to beauty, you should not seek attention by showing off. It all starts with the hair on your head. Think of that, then think of Sarah, who was said to be extremely beautiful even in old age. So delete all them suggestive photos on social media, refrain from elaborate styles and dress in public. Cover yourself, men and women both and be modest in God's sight. Keep bedroom things in the bedroom, that is your holy place! Do not give what is holy to dogs or the public!
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. 1 Peter 3:3-6 NIV
