Isn't it apparent yet to all of us that God sees the world in a totally different and more meaningful way. Just look at the way He does things, and it is on a regular basis.
God's Ways
God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Yes, in a very strange sort of way we are always looking for signs from the rich and powerful. Has God ever used the so called "important people" that people imagine is "important"? Perhaps, at times, but most of the time it is the little and what would be insignificant things to most people that God uses for His purposes.
The Insignificant Not So Insignificant
What is foolishness to man is significant to God and what is insignificant to God seems to be what man thinks is important. The main features are money, power and physical beauty that man seeks. Man considers people without money, physical beauty and power to be insignificant and that is where God proves His Majesty over and over again.
Ancient Israel
Think of ancient Israel, the only reason why they were ever important is because God made it that way. They were never a world power like Babylon, Media Persia or Greece or Rome. In fact they were slaves to these nations. From the world power view Israel was insignificant and sometimes considered to be an irritant but nothing of importance to the dominating nations.
Humble Beginnings
Everyone loves a good success story where the poor and impoverished find a way to succeed. We see this pattern repeated throughout the Bible. From King David to even Yeshua the Messiah Himself, the way God sees a man is very unique because He can see into their heart.
Deserving of Greatness
Who deserves to be great? The humble of course, and who deserve to be humbled? Those with pride and arrogance! We know this, is there anyone that disagrees with this? Yet, why is this the case? Is it because those who are humble can feel the pain of others? We seek empathy in leadership naturally. This is interesting that this is programmed into us.
Yehovah Becomes Yeshua
Think of the God who made all things, the Designer, the Creator of heaven and earth, indeed the universe! Did He come to earth as a powerful political or royal leader? Was His birth in royal chambers? NO, for the most amazing reason His birth from Mary would appear insignificant. His father Joseph a carpenter in a country that did not have much wood. The humble beginnings would be stealth mode, a covert operation, the least suspicious operation that even the demons had trouble identifying. The Son of Man came into our realm in a way that was the most humble way a person could imagine the God of the universe doing so.
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2:6,7
What Are You Looking For?
Do you want God to make you rich and powerful? Do you buy lottery tickets and then ask God to make you win? Why? Seek wisdom and understanding, fill your heart with the knowledge God Himself has provided for you. Your good fortune does await you, if you humbly submit to the mighty hand of God. How? Observe His commandments. Only by doing this will you find what you are looking for. True freedom resides here.
Quit Being A Slave
Every doer of sin is a slave of sin. Keep your eye simple, obey the commands of God and do not seek wealth or power but favor with God. Now, by doing this you will find true happiness and joy. Even better you will find Love. Leave Christendom and every organized religion with a tax deductible or legal status, they are traps! You do not need to belong to an organized religion to be acceptable to God, obey His commands, be humble, have faith in Yeshua and you will have earned yourself the right to be called a Child of God!
